Summer house

A spontaneous purchase (no thanks to Mark) and an unmissable deal from Invicta Angling means I'm now the proud owner of a Fox Supa Brolly.

On first inspection it seams excellent and "poles apart" from my old Daiwa Mission Overnighter, which has now been handed down to Jon.  The material seems to be well strengthened, good quality and the design includes a front gutter system, so good bye wet knees, I also really like the inbuilt pole system.  Additionally, the groundsheet appears to be quite heavy duty which again is a plus for those damp mornings!

The only problem is the weather; I need it to warm up a smidge or plan a day fish to test it out initally.

I may take it to Lydd with me, but will erect it depending on the weather as that place is supposed to pragued with heavy winds, that said, it could be the best test ever!

I will add comments accordingly following it's first outing although Mark has also purchased one of these fine pieces of kit; if he uses it on his Wednesday fish @ Mousehole Fisheries he may be the first person to update this post!

Return to Mecca

The summer fishing trip arrangements are progressing well.

Etang Bertie will be visited again by Jim, Claire, Nic, Paul and I.

It is possibly the most idilic setting I have ever been too, stocked full of cracking, greedy fish including the odd rocket propelled sturgeon and has a well stocked local supermarket.... who could ask for more!!!

The lake has been reserved and the ferry ticket booked so pending the final travel arrangements all is set for another top quality trip to Miller's Lakes best venue.

Personal goals for this trip include a catfish PB from the lake and a 40lb carp........Can't wait!!!!!

Mousehole Specimen Membership

Mouseholes Lakes have been able to offer Mark and I membership places in their exclusive Club.  This will enable both myself and Mark to fish the new Kestrel Specimen Lake which I believe has been stocked via HFF (therefore a good stamp of fish is expected)!

I'll be going down to the lake today to complete my membership and take a couple of photos for this blog.

Caravan Club

Is has been agreed that the CADAC (or caravan club for short) will be utilised with an invitation by Nic.

The venue will be Wind Surf Pit (Lydd) recently stocked by Paul Middleton in November 2012 who has also stocked MVF Brooklands.

From the location and understanding of the possible weather this could be a baptism or fire or if we don't get swept into the sea we could manage to hook a few of the newly stocked carp.!!!!!
