Mousehole Specimen Membership

Mouseholes Lakes have been able to offer Mark and I membership places in their exclusive Club.  This will enable both myself and Mark to fish the new Kestrel Specimen Lake which I believe has been stocked via HFF (therefore a good stamp of fish is expected)!

I'll be going down to the lake today to complete my membership and take a couple of photos for this blog.

  1. Upon visiting the lake and meeting the owners my initial thoughts are;

    The owners Joanne and Dave are very kind and have best intentions for the lake, the members and the fish (and makw a lovely cuppa)!

    The lake looks as if it has great potential and appears to be finished with detail and quality in mind.

    The swims appear spacious and each have some nice features to fish to.

    The fish have come from quality sources and have had an acceptable time to settle in.

    On the whole I think that this lake will develop into a fantastic lake on a good site; I cannot wait to book a date to fish it!

  2. Did you have a walk round with Dave? It looks bigger in the photos you took

  3. Yes it does. Upon arrival I was introduced to Dave and Joanne, given a cuppa and Dave walked me round the lake, he showed me the swims and pointed out some key parts to each swim. It seems large enough to accommodate 6 swims and the swims were almost complete. When I walked round the lake was under complete cloud cover so I could see some underwater shelves, flats and channels and it did seem larger than I expected. I will upload the two aerial view planning sketches that you mapped out as a future note to this post.
